Hardwoods Specialty Products is proud to announce that Dragon Ply®, North America’s premier import plywood, is now available CERTIFIED to meet the Phase I formaldehyde emission standards of the California Air Resources Board ( CARB). CARB Phase I standards take effect January 1, 2009 and regulate the formaldehyde emissions for all interior wood products (cabinets, furniture, millwork etc.) that are produced in California or shipped into California. Veneer
- Manufactured and graded on-site ensuring HPVA and better veneer grades. Most are available in both plain sliced and rotary cut
- .3 - .6mm veneer on all cabinet grade fancy plywood
- .5mm veneer on all structural and platform grade plywood
- All thick-face MPF veneer is composed by machine to prevent veneer overlap and separation. This ensures the highest quality veneer joinery
- Cabinet grade veneer is sanded to 220 grit eliminating the need for sanding
- .3mm wet lay up is available upon request in all fancy plywood species

Core
- Multi-ply core construction combined with proper core drying results in a more stable, higher quality core
- Core options include plantation grown Poplar veneer; Combination core; all Birch veneer core; light weight lumber core; Veneer core with MDF crossbands; MDF and Particleboard
- All face and core veneers are machine dried before lay up and inspected to ensure 12% moisture content or less prior to shipping
- Core is calibrated before application of face veneer to ensure HPVA or better thickness tolerance
- MR glue line with WBP exterior glue available upon request
- E-2 formaldehyde standard with E-1 and E-0 available upon request
- Core construction better than K core quality as all core voids are replaced
